In the September 2024 newsletter we would like to focus on some training and outreach events coming up early autumn:

HPC office hours

Every Wednesday, 13:00-15:00, the HPC group/NRIS staff at UiT is available for users to chat either in person in Modulbygget, Room A210 https://link.mazemap.com/yfStfXRc or on Teams. Mondays with MatLab

Mathworks, in collaboration with NRIS and the other nordic academic high performance computing services providers, are again offering hands-on training in use of MatLab inn large scale and parallell computing. The first event is taught by Matlab and happens Mon Sept 9th. NRIS training events autumn of 2024

• The popular NRIS beginners course – HPC onboarding – is being arranged early October, 15-17, 2024: https://documentation.sigma2.no/training/events/2024-10-hpc-on-boarding.html This course is soon open for registration.

• Introductory training to NIRD toolkit is organized for Oct. 24th: https://documentation.sigma2.no/training/events/2024-10-nird-toolkit.html

University library in collaboration with IT and HPC@UiT are offering training and information about how to and where to store and manage scientific data. This event will take place Oct. 29-30 at Campus Breivika/Tromsø/UiT.
